difficult to update the site since my PC has no much bytes free. Anyways, MORTEM

MORTEM (Peru) "De Natura Daemonum" CD'05. 11 tracks, 41 min. Iron
Pegasus. This is the 4th album from these Death Metal lads and it still is a
crushing stuff. There's some bands that don't evolve all along their albums and
you don't want them to do, cause since their first release they kicked the ass,
so why should they change ? This is exactly what Mortem is about, since their
"Demon Tales" Mortem are into real D.M in the vein of American stuffs
such as Morbid Angel and early Deicide. So "De Natura…" is nothing
less than the exact following of previous materials, which means blasting D.M
with a real wild and satanic image through cursing riffs and devil voice. I'm
still fucking astound by the ability of the singer, because he really does an
excellent job in each tunes. Nonetheless that guitar and drumming parts are
excellent (i.e.: "Qarqacha, Demons Of Incest", "Illusion Of
Blood"). What is pretty amazing here, is that it seems this release was
recorded 15 years ago, with all these old school D.M elements, melted with
latest Thrash stuff. A fucking great album !
I just got mail from Alvaro Amduscias, the band is heading to NY tomorrow, they
expect to kick ass and don't disappoint the fans over there. If you live for
that area DO NOT MISS this show, not only because MORTEM plays, but because the
other bands in the bill have promised to mutilate !!!
